The Muğla Tennis Academy (TAM) Sports Club organized a tournament in October 2024, titled the "October 29th Republic Day Tennis Tournament," with the proceeds donated to the EGET Foundation. The donation, equivalent to a month's scholarship for 20 undergraduate students, was transferred to the EGET Foundation by the club management. Our Board Chair, Özlem Uzman, thanked Ela and Mustafa Tezcan, the founders of the TAM Tennis Academy, for their valuable initiative during their visit to our headquarters, and presented them with a Certificate of Support for Education along with the donation receipts. The EGET Foundation also rewarded sportsmanship at the October 29th Republic Day Tennis Tournament organized by the TAM Tennis Academy. Athletes in different categories, chosen by player votes, received the "Most Gentlemanly Athlete" plaque. On these days when we joyfully celebrate the 101st anniversary of our Republic, we, as the EGET Foundation, are very happy to have participated in such a meaningful organization. We would like to extend our sincerest thanks to Ela and Mustafa Tezcan, the founders of the Muğla Tennis Academy (TAM) Sports Club, as well as to all the staff, coaches, and players who participated in the tournament. The EGET Foundation envisions a Turkey where financial hardship is not an obstacle to university education, where nature is protected through sustainable agricultural practices, and where modern tourism models are implemented for middle-aged and older individuals.
