Menteşe Municipality hosted an Ecological Gerontology and Aging Event with the aim of creating an 'elderly-friendly and sustainable city'.

VARIOUS TOPICS DISCUSSED AT THE EVENT

Held at the Türkan Saylan Contemporary Life Center, the event discussed the aging process and the adaptation of urban life to this process from a multi-dimensional perspective. Topics such as Applied Gerontology Approaches, Dementia Diseases and Healthy Nutrition, Lifelong Rights and Elderly Rights were addressed by experts from different disciplines.

IMPORTANT STATEMENTS FROM MAYOR KÖKSAL ARAS

Speaking at the event, Menteşe Mayor Gonca Köksal Aras emphasized that the aging process is inevitable and drew attention to the responsibilities of city administrations in this process. Mayor Köksal Aras stated that they will work to increase accessibility for all individuals in the city, taking into account the needs of elderly people.
