The EGET Foundation, which converts the income it earns from ecological production into scholarships, stands out with its goal of both protecting nature and supporting the education of young people.

The EGET Foundation, operating in Muğla, provides scholarships to students with the income it earns from ecological farming. Having been established for over ten years, the foundation attracts attention by simultaneously protecting nature and supporting the education of young people.

The foundation offers its gold medal-winning Memecik olive oil and lavender products to local and international markets. Every income earned is returned to students as scholarships. An olive branch becomes a scholarship notebook, and a lavender bottle becomes a symbol of hope for education.

EGET's digital system, BUSED, guarantees fairness in scholarship selection. Out of 39,960 applications, 245 students were reached. Foundation managers Özlem Uzman and Naki Bulut say, “There is no favoritism for any student, only hard work and merit.”

They added, “Our aim is to support students facing financial difficulties while also contributing to the cultural and scientific development of society. We also conduct work in areas such as ecotourism, food security, and healthy aging.”

With the annual Lavender Harvest Festival, children connect with the soil, bringing ecology and joy to Muğla. The foundation has also joined the global sustainability network by entering the Good Market list.

ESTABLISHMENT OF AN ECOLOGICAL LIFE CENTER IS PLANNED

The foundation aims to establish an Ecological Life Center in the coming period. This center will be a contemporary meeting point for healthy living, harmony with nature, and ecological production.

The EGET Foundation, by carrying the bounty it receives from nature to the future of young people, has become an example not only for Muğla but also for Turkey.
